To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.Buddha
We wake up, we act, we eat, we sleep and then we repeat. Our life is basically a repetition of action periodically over the course of our lives. Our brains think it and our body performs it. For any action to be completed we require the work of both the brain to visualize the action and the body to physically perform it.
Growth of an individual is never uni-modal but rather spread across a wide array of improvements to their physiological, functional and structural systems of both the brain and the body. These changes happen to the underlying brain sections that are used to perform the actions and the body parts that are responsible for the actions to take place. For example a gymnast performing the front roll will have their brain develop better neuronal wiring in the section of the brain were neural activity happens when the front roll is performed, while the body will develop the flexibility and strength to support its weight and momentum to actually perform the front roll.
The focus of this blog is to decipher how to optimize our bodies and mind to the pinnacle of its potential and each article will be focusing on smaller components of both these fundamental building blocks of everyday life. I do not claim to have the deepest knowledge or the most complete information regarding this subject, but my articles are synthesized from several scientific journal articles and sources. It is up to the discretion of the reader to use the information how ever they see fit.
